What's for dinner tonight?
Ember Recipes plans your week's dinners from what's already in your kitchen and keeps a shared shopping list in sync with the whole family in real time. The recipes, wines and dinners out that were worth remembering are all still there when you need them again.

How it works
Here's how Ember Recipes solves it
A populated pantry β not an empty list.
Your pantry knows what you have
Log what you buy, and the AI planner already knows it's there next time it suggests a dinner β no more opening the fridge and guessing.
The week grid with real dinners in it, ideally freshly generated.
AI plans the week for you
Tell it how much time, money and enthusiasm you've got this week. It puts together a week of dinners that actually fits β and you can always change one day at a time.
A list in progress: category grouping and at least one checked-off item.
The shopping list is shared, live
Everyone in the family checks off the same list, wherever they're shopping. Anything already in the pantry is skipped automatically.
More than recipes
Everything else that belongs at the table
The cellar: real bottles, a rating chip, at least one "in stock" pill.
Your wine cellar
Keep track of what's actually in the rack, what's worth opening tonight, and what pairs with what you're cooking.
A logged restaurant visit, or a hosted dinner with menu and guests.
Dinners out
Log the restaurant visits β what you ordered, what you liked, who was there β so you remember it next time you book a table.
Host a dinner
Build a menu from your own recipes, invite friends, and split the shopping and the bill together.
The moment of capture: a photo being scanned, or the import sheet open.
Most differentiated image
Capture a recipe wherever you find it
A photo of a cookbook page, a link, or a clip from TikTok or Instagram β the AI reads it for you and saves it to your collection.
Open and honest
Your data is yours
Ember Recipes is built in Sweden by a small team, not a big advertising company.
- We never sell your data, and there are no ads in the app.
- Recipes and photos you upload can be read by AI when you ask for it β to scan a photo, say, or suggest a dinner. It's never sent to the AI provider linked to your name or email address, and it's never used to train their models.
- AI can be wrong. Always check the original source if you or anyone you're cooking for has a food allergy or a special diet.
- Questions or a problem? We answer within 24 hours at support@ma-dev.se.

Also on Windows
Ember Recipes on your PC
The Windows app is free, and always will be β a companion to the iPhone app, not a separate sales channel. Already have a Premium or Family subscription through the App Store? It works automatically on Windows too, with nothing extra to do.
Requires Windows 10 or 11. The first time you install it, you'll need to approve a security certificate β it takes under a minute, and we show you exactly how. Here's how to install it β
Questions & answers
Frequently asked questions
Is the app free?
The Windows app is completely free. The iPhone app has a free tier (15 recipes, 3 AI calls a day) and a paid Premium or Family tier if you want unlimited.
Is there an Android version?
Not right now. Ember Recipes is available for iPhone and Windows.
Do the Windows and iPhone apps work together?
Yes β same account, same recipes, same shopping list, whichever device you open the app on.
What happens to my recipes if I cancel Premium?
Nothing disappears. You keep everything you've saved β you just go back to the free tier's limits for new recipes and new AI calls.
Is my data safe?
We never sell your data, there are no ads, and you can delete your account and everything in it, any time, right in the app. Read more in our privacy policy.
Why does Windows warn me when I install the app?
We sign the app with our own certificate instead of an expensive Microsoft-issued one β normal for smaller Windows apps not sold through the Microsoft Store. It's safe to approve, and we show you exactly how: Here's how to install it β
